Rich Color Enhancer offers a Dynamic Mode setting to increase image brightness, or Graphic Mode/Standard Mode, which adjusts color-wheel timing to produce deeper, richer colors in rooms where maximum brightness is unnecessary.
Superior White Balance and Color Reproduction
Quartet Color Harmonizer wheel mechanism captures a wider color space than comparable projectors, allowing white to be reproduced more realistically on screen. Conventional projectors can’t achieve an accurate white balance, so images can appear with a distracting greenish cast. Not the case with the Panasonic 1-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE Laser projectors.

In environments where full brightness is not necessary, such as surveillance, control, and simulation rooms, constant operation modes extend light-source replacement up to 87,600 hours* in Long Life 3 Mode—about 10 years of 24/7 projection—with consistent brightness and color performance.

Efficient Cooling System
Heat-pipe cooling for the laser light source and a heavy-duty heat sink for the DMD module keep images crisp and bright while reducing fan speed, lowering noise levels and preventing distractions in quiet classrooms.
Dynamic Light Control for High Contrast
Dynamic Light Control directly modulates laser output to achieve high contrast with less power consumption. Digitally controlled frame-by-frame scene-linking modulation ensures highly precise adjustment of light output, while accurate contrast is delivered even when bright and dark scenes frequently interchange.
Detail Clarity Processor 3
This unique Panasonic circuitry optimizes the sharpness of each image based on information gathered from four frequency bands of the video signal. The resulting images are expressed with natural, convincing realism.
Daylight View Basic
Panasonic’s Daylight View Basic technology achieves sharp, easily viewed images by enhancing detail, particularly in dark areas of the image that are normally difficult to see in brightly lit rooms. A built-in sensor measures ambient light while Daylight View Basic adjusts halftone color and brightness according to the surrounding level of illumination.

Built-in Short-throw Lens
A built-in short-throw lens is ideal for rear projection in dedicated boxes. With this lens, projection distance can be as little as about 1.2 m (3.9 ft) to produce a 70-inch-diagonal wide-screen image.
Free 360-degree Installation
SOLID SHINE Laser technology enables free 360-degree installation through any axis. Together with powered lens shift and a wide range of optional lenses, the projector can be mounted in any way desired without picture distortion temporarily or in permanent applications.
Single-Cable DIGITAL LINK Connection
DIGITAL LINK transmits uncompressed video, audio*1, and control commands through a single CAT 5e or higher STP cable for distances of up to 150 m (492 ft)*2. Optional DIGITAL LINK Switcher or Digital Interface Box further simplifies installation, reduces cabling and associated costs, and enhances reliability.

Early Warning Software ET-SWA100 Series (Optional)
Early Warning Software monitors the status of projectors and displays connected to an intranet, and informs the operator when an abnormality is detected or predicted, or when there are symptoms of trouble. This minimizes downtime to provide more stable operation.
Silent Operation Mode
Technologies combine to keep noise levels down in Silent Mode so the sound of the cooling fan is hardly noticeable. This is made possible by an efficient cooling system, reduction of light output to limit fan speed, and color-wheel speed control to prevent excessive noise.
Auto Screen Image Rotation
Images are automatically* rotated depending on installation orientation—upside down on the ceiling or set on a table—using a built-in angle sensor.
