RIGA, new high-end satellite co-axial system

New from the Artis range, Riga is a very compact satellite fitted with a new 17 cm coaxial

unit, mounted in a sphere half the volume of the one in Baltic Evolution, her bigger sister.

Another Cabasse innovation to meet the demands of music and movie lovers looking for

solutions with elegance and discrete aesthetic design.

To meet the challenges set by the requirements of the Riga design, three years intensive

development went into the new BC17 driver. This unit consists of a dome midrangetweeter

and ring shaped lower midrange-woofer membrane, forming together a portion of

pulsating sphere. With the same constant control of the directivity all along its bandwidth

whatever the application – floorstanders, on wall, or on its base - and the typical Cabasse

transparency, sensitivity and power handling, Riga concentrates all the virtues of the SCS

(Spatially Coherent System) principles developed by the Cabasse laboratory.

The incredible 55cm 4-way concentric QC_55 driver and the active processor, with on site Cabasse tuning, provide incomparable performance whatever the listening room. High efficiency, extreme power handling, tonal balance in a 60° cone, deep, stable and realistic sound stage: all the values that Cabasse represents coverge for absolute fidelity from 20 to 25,000 Hz.

La Sphere Amplifier Set

La Sphere active processor and dedicated power amplifiers.

The monoblock amplifiers of the La Sphère system have also been designed after innovative technologies offering power and refinement in a very discrete size. The "Ice Power" modules present a 90% efficiency, 10 times more than conventional amplifiers.

Driven by a 1000 W RMS amplifier, the 22" woofer of La Sphère can be played up to it’s mechanical limits with no amplifier distortion. The same 1000 W monoblock is used for the low-midrange, when 300 W versions feed the midrange and tweeter units. Both versions share the same design and there is no risk of delay between the amplifiers that would kill the linear phase of the digital processing. The use for the 3 upper frequency ranges of amplifiers far under their nominal power ( never more than 5% for the high frequencies for instance) allow to avoid the risk of amplifier’s distortion
